Hello!

My name is Casper Van Oss (they/them).

My artistic journey has been a pretty wild one. I always enjoyed art but struggled with physical mediums, I never could get the paint or clay to produce the image I had in my head. That is until I took a visual communication class in high school. Suddenly everything clicked, I found my niche in digital design. Shortly after I took a photography class and found my designers eye transferred well to the lens of the camera.

When I graduated I choose to attend Anderson University, a small liberal arts school. It had a great art program and a fantastic community. It had a great art program and a fantastic community. During my Sophomore year I came out as queer and being LGBT on a religious campus was a tough experience. And so I helped create a student lead organization, known as Neighbors, which advocated for students rights. We worked side by side with campus leadership to redefine the universities attitude towards its queer students and staff, which was a daunting task to say the least. It was then I realized I could use my talents and skills as a designer for more than just making things pretty. Visual design is a unifying and impactful medium that doesn’t speak a specific language.

To this day I use my artistic skill to help make an impact. I work with non-profits, small businesses, and organizations committed to the betterment of society. I am not naive enough to think I alone can fix what is broken with our society, but strongly believe I can do my part using visual design. Please reach out and join me in this goal.
